Caviar has been used to come up with some of the world’s best recipes. It has a way of totally transforming a simple dish to one which is quite exclusive and utterly delicious. Caviar is a timeless ingredient and is useful in a multitude of ways. However, use it wisely, as good caviar is pricey, and in some cases only affordable for kings.

Caviar is commonly used as a garnish, or accent when preparing appetizers, such as a fabulous smoked salmon tartare. You may look at this simple recipe and not think much of it, but the truth be told, it is one of the world’s greatest appetizers. This particular dish makes use of  smoked salmon and has completely done away with any raw ingredients, thus you can therefore rest easy and enjoy every bite without having to worry about not pleasing your pregnant guests.

For such an elegant dish, the recipe and ingredients used in preparation are quite simple.

To begin with assemble the following ingredients:

6 ounces smoked salmon
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 ounce of Seruga Caviar
2 tablespoons crème fraiche
2 tablesspoons of chopped chives
2 tablespoons grated horseradish

Once you have all these ingredients at hand and arranged accordingly on your kitchen counter you may start with the necessary preparations.

  1. Dice the salmon into tiny quarter inch pieces.
  2. Place the pieces into a mixing bowl and pour in half of the chives, and all of the horseradish.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the lemon juice and crème fraiche.
  4. Nicely pile the salmon onto plates and lightly drizzle the lemon crème over the top.
  5. Place the caviar and left-over chives on stop and serve with toasted baguette slices.

This wonderful dish serves four. You will be blown away by the harmonious combination of the smoked salmon and caviar.
